Overview

The objective of this scheme is to financially support Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Voluntary Organisations (VOs) to carry out projects related to innovation in the community (with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Proposals which utilise an approach that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding community inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking are also eligible.

What you'll get

The grant covers 80% of the project costs, not exceeding the €8,000 threshold.
 

Eligibility

Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Voluntary Organisations (VOs) with a valid VO Number. - https://education.gov.mt/community-development-and-innovation-scheme/

All quoted budgets must be realistic and include all the relative expenses that the project will incur to be fully implemented. All hidden costs should be excluded.
• The project must be finalised within twelve (12) months from the signing of the agreement.
• Project Leader must be Maltese citizen; or be in possession of a Malta residence permit; or of own a Maltese citizenship certificate; or a Maltese passport.
• Any VO must be enrolled and compliant with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations as at date of application, per L.N. 372.

 

How to apply

The legal representative is to fill in the online form and submit.
• Enrolled and compliant Voluntary Organisations; or
• Youth Organisations registered with ‘Agenzija Zghazagh’; or
• Entities established under Canon Law

Documents required
Three quotations for each item proposed to be bought.
