  • Registration for Road Tankers Handling Petrol

    Mobile road containers handling petrol are required to be registered with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA). Such a registration is required to allow loading of petrol from terminals and unloading of petrol at service stations. In order to be registered, mobile road containers tankers must be certified, by an approved auditor, as being compliant with the requirements for mobile road tankers in ‘Control of Volatile Organic Compound-VOC Emissions (Storage and Distribution of Petrol from Terminals to Service Stations) Regulations, SL 549.52.
  • Registration of Farms

    Farms and establishments keeping animals (such as stables, zoos, kennels and aviaries) need to be registered with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) to carry out their activity in accordance with LN 106/2007.
  • Renewal as a Producer of Batteries and Accumulators

    If a company or individual intends to import and/or manufacture and place on the Maltese market Batteries and/or Accumulators, s/he is required to register with the Environment and Resources (ERA), upon first placing the production on the Maltese market.
  • Renewal as a Producer of Packaging

    If a company or individual intends to import and/or manufacture and put on the Maltese market Packaging or Packaging Material, s/he is required to register with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA), upon first placing the production on the Maltese market.
  • Renewal Form to Operate an Extended Producer Responsibilities (EPR) Compliance Scheme

    If a company or individual intends to renew the application to operate a waste electrical and electronic equipment compliance scheme, s/he is required to apply with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA).
  • Transboundary Movements of Waste

    If a company or individual intends to export  waste or import waste for recovery purposes from/into Malta, a permit from the Environment and Resources (ERA), from the country of destination and from transit countries (if applicable) is required prior to commencement of shipment.

  • Vehicle Deregistration Request (WasteServ Malta Ltd)

    WasteServ Malta Ltd operates a number of waste disposal facilities. These include the Magħtab landfill, Malta North Waste Treatment Plant, Sant Antnin Waste Treatment Plant, Marsa Thermal Treatment Facility and tal-Kus Waste Transfer Station.
  • Vehicle Registration Request (WasteServ Malta Ltd)

  • Waste Broker (Based in the Maltese Islands)

    If a company or individual based in Malta intends to carry out waste brokerage activities without taking actual possesion of waste, registration with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) is required in accordance with LN 106/07.
