It allows individuals to calculate an unofficial projection of the Tapering of Benefits they may be eligible for. The Tapering of Benefits Calculator is available to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Have been in receipt of Unemployment Assistance for at least one (1) year in the last three (3) years. This does not apply in cases for the Social Assistance and Single Unmarried Parent Allowance.
The applicant or their spouse/partner is gainfully occupied and earning at least the National Minimum Wage or more. In cases of Social Assistance and Single Parent Assistance, this does not apply.
The beneficiary marries or starts a registered cohabitation.
