  • Rehabilitation of Vacant Dwellings

    The Rehabilitation of Vacant Dwellings for Rental Scheme is an initiative intended to encourage private owners to invest in the rehabilitation of unoccupied, substandard residential dwellings and lease them to the Authority to accommodate social housing applicants.

  • Reporting an irregularity form

    The reporting form will be an enhanced and easy to use online tool accessible to anyone on the Housing Authority website, to report an irregularity for any government leased property, Nikru biex Nassistu (10-year lease properties) and for private property market leases. 

  • SensAbility Scheme (SENS)

    The SensAbility Scheme provides financial assistance of up to €6,000 to support the setting up of a sensory room for individuals with sensory challenges, such as autism or sensory overload. Eligibility requires tailored recommendations from an occupational therapist engaged by the applicant, outlining the set-up and equipment that best meet the individual’s needs. Applications may be submitted by the interested person’s relative or legal representative.

  • Sir Sid Darek

    This Scheme is to encourage residents of apartments/terraced houses and maisonettes owned by the Housing Authority and the Government Property Department to become owner occupiers and continue using the property as their ordinary residence.

  • Social Housing Maintenance Request

    The Social Housing Section in the Ministry for Gozo is committed to render and provide better housing services for tenants and owners of flats at taċ-Ċawla Housing Estate, Victoria, Gozo.
  • Subsidy on Adaptation Works related to Dangerous Structures in Private Dwellings

    The aim of the scheme is to provide subsidies to assist certain tenants/emphyteuta in carrying out works related to dangerous structures and to render these residential premises leased to them prior 1st June 1995 habitable and of an acceptable standard.

  • Test of Reasonableness Board (TORB)

    The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)’s main operation is to safeguard the Equal Opportunities (Persons with Disability) Act ( Cap. 413.) of the Laws of Malta. It does not only involve the investigation of complaints received for a possible solution, but continuously engages in offering advice on the implementation and enforcement of the Act, to both persons with disability and their family members (those directly affected), as well as other people in the society on whom the Act imposes certain obligations (those indirectly affected).

    The Test of Reasonableness Board (TORB) is a board operating within the framework of Article 20 of the same Act, responsible in determining the reasonableness of any action to be undertaken by any person in the fulfilment of the provisions of this Act or the UNCRPD, including any alteration, change, and/ or provision of services and facilities and whether such actions could be undertaken without unjustifiable hardship.
