  • Notification Form for the use of Group 2, 3, or 4 Biological Agent

    A legal requirement falling within the scope of LN 228 of 2003. An employer has to notify OHSA 30 days prior to the commencement of work involving the use for the first time of; 



    - a group 2 biological agent, 

    - a group 3 biological agent,

    - a group 4 biological agent, 



    or for the first time of each subsequent group 4 biological agent and any subsequent new group 3 biological agent where the employer himself classifies that biological agent.

  • Occupational Disease Reporting

    Notification of occupational diseases to the occupational physician is a particularly important indicator for the targetting of occupational sectors by the Authority which require implementation of appropriate safety measures to prevent further occurrences of such diseases.
  • Principles of Risk Assessment Course

    It shall be the duty of every employer and of every self-employed person to carry out, or to ensure that is carried out, a suitable, sufficient and systematic assessment of all the occupational health and safety hazards which may be present at the place of work and the resultant risks involved concerning all aspects of the work activity. Such assessments shall consider the risks to the health and safety of workers and of self-employed persons to which they are exposed whilst at work, as well as the risks to the health and safety of other persons, including visitors to the place of work, which risks arise out of, or in connection with the work being carried out, or by the conduct of the undertaking.'

  • Radiation Protection Board (RPB) - Notification Form (Dental Clinics)

    This notification is required by all users of ionising radiation in accordance with Regulation 17 of LN44/2003. This form is for dental clinics.

  • Workers' Health and Safety Representative Course

    Workers' Health and Safety Representative means a person, elected, chosen or designated, as prescribed in regulations, to represent workers on all matters relating to the promotion and protection of their occupational health or safety.
