Overview

Teachers with expertise in hearing impairment provide ongoing support to students, families, and schools from infancy to Year 11. They assist at home and school with curriculum delivery, advise on assistive technologies, classroom acoustics, and student assessments.  Teachers for the hearing impaired also contribute to individualised education plans, examinations access arrangements and act as communicators during school-based and national exams.

What you'll get

Advice and support to parents, educators and other professionals working with the child on their needs and available resources; in-class/individual session/s according to the needs of the child, participation in IEP sessions, review and transition sessions.

Eligibility

Babies to Form 5 students.

The service is offered by NSSS  through referrals from schools.
