Overview

This form is used when a driver intends to start working as a chauffeur for hire or reward.

Taxi driver permit tag.

Eligibility

Category B driving licence holders, aged 19 years or over

How to apply

Print and fill in the form together with: 

i) Medical certificate of physical fitness to drive. 
ii) Police conduct. 
iii) Copy of ID Card. 
iv) Fee of €22.

The following applies only to who did not hold a taxi driver permit on the 1st of November 2010:
v) Taxi Driver and Area Knowledge Certificate (TDAKC Certificate).
vi) 40 hour log of on-the-road training.
vii) Attendance Certificate for an Authorised Training Provider (46 hours).
viii)Taxi Driver Theory Test Certificate.
ix) Taxi Driver Practical Test Pass Report.
