Overview

The Searches Unit provides searches on individuals and/or firms vis-à-vis transfer of property.  Searches are divided into Normal, Fast Track (Priority) or Testamentary searches and contain documents referred to as notes which are summaries of the actual deeds/contracts.
These notes include:

  • Transfers which include notes of Enrolment on contracts of sale/purchase of immovable property, donations, Causa Mortis etc by individuals or firms;
  • Liabilities incorporating notes of Hypothec and Privilege revealing whether the individual/firm would have secured any obligations, such as loans or mortgages;
  • Fidi related to notes on redemption of ground rent.

The search will only yield results if the property is acquired by a public deed and is enrolled by the Notary at the Public Registry.
